We look forward to welcoming you to the Füvészkert Botanical Garden for Peter Pan's light show on autumn and winter evenings! Come with your loved ones and discover a magical, fairy-tale place!
In the 2025/26 season, the Garden of Lights once again invites visitors to the Füvészkert Botanical Garden in Budapest to the magical world of a wonderful, cult fairy tale. The theme of this year's special light and multimedia exhibition is none other than the story of the eternal child, Peter Pan. The fairy tale comes to life in the more than 250-year-old Botanical Garden, where the picturesque surroundings are populated by magical creatures. Alongside the legendary Peter, there will be children who have fallen into the story of Neverland from London, Tinker Bell and the fairies, the Chief and the Indians, the dreaded Captain Hook, and many other attractive and popular fairy tale characters.
What is the Garden of Lights?
An unparalleled multimedia exhibition where you can walk through a magnificent botanical garden, with an incredible journey of spectacular, immersive light and sound - dazzling your senses and suddenly you feel like you're part of the story. The Polish creators of the exhibition aim to take the Garden of Lights 'light stories' around the world. This is the second time the production has come to us, and it will be a great way to spend the autumn-winter evenings for children and adults alike! Internationally, millions of visitors have so far enjoyed the wonder of the show - come and be part of it in Budapest at the Füvészkert. And if you've already admired it, visit our second place, ZOO Debrecen, opening for the first time this year, where Pinocchio's magical adventure beckons!
What can you expect?
The fabulous three-hectare botanical gardens will feature lots of lights attractions - fairytale scenes, characters, great photo points, plus beautifully decorated trees and other greenery, not to mention unique multimedia attractions!
When can you come?
The Smurfs multimedia exhibition is open from 18 October 2024 to 2 March 2025. It will be open from 16:00 to 20:00 Monday to Thursday, and from 16:00 to 21:00 Friday to Sunday and on public holidays. But on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve, Smurfvillage is also at rest!
